The Central Cello Celebration, the second cello festival hosted by Central Washington University, provides a special opportunity for cellists, in particular high school level players from around the Northwest, to celebrate their work, their accomplishments and the rich cello repertoire.

This year we are pleased to have among our guest artist clinicians, JOSHUA ROMAN, the new principal cellist of the Seattle Symphony. Join us in welcoming Joshua Roman to the region!

Cellists are invited to participate in the masterclasses, perform in one of two Cello Celebration Recitals, and join the cello choir in a performance of the BACHIANAS BRAZILEIRAS No. 1 at the final Cello Celebration Concert (print out parts).

ELIGIBILITY

All ages are welcome to observe the masterclasses and attend the concerts. Those who can prepare a part of the Bachianas Brazileiras #1 are encouraged to participate in the cello choir. To participate as a performer in the masterclass sessions and recitals, students should be between 14-18 years of age and have their teacher complete the recommendation form below.

This participation fee covers entrance to all masterclasses, rehearsals and concerts (room and board are not included).

Fee is $55 if received before October 23rd

For those of you that will be performing in masterclass or recital and would like to use our official pianists, please contact the pianist directly via email (click on name above for email address) and send your music to them as soon as possible!

DRESS:

For CCC Recitals and Finale Concert, please wear mostly black clothing. Splashes of color are welcome.
